Bolton trying to sign Thiago Alcantara

British sports tabloid The Daily Mail report that Premier League club Bolton Wanderers are interested in signing FC Barcelona midfielder and Spanish youth international Thiago Alcantara (19) on a season-long loan.

Bolton manager Owen Coyle hopes to hold talks with the 19-year-old midfielder this week in order to convince the youngster over a move to the Premier League club.

Since Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger refused to send youngster Jack Wilshere (19) for another season on loan after the youngster spent a successful six month loan spell at Bolton last season, Coyle is keen on acquiring the services of Thiago in order to boast the quality of his midfield. Although it will have to be seen whether Barca manager Pep Guardiola is willing to let his prodigial talent leave.

Bolton have already successfully completed the signing of Real Madrid Castilla left back and Spain U-20 international Marcos Alonso for a reported fee of 3 million.
