WC ‘Blaugrana’ Report: Ivory Coast vs. Portgual

FC Barcelona and Ivory Coast International midfielder Yaya Toure (27) started and played the whole match in his team’s opening game against Portugal.

Blaugrana notes: Yaya Toure played the entire match and was a a key player for his team as they held Portugal and Real Madrid rival Cristiano Ronaldo scoreless. His brother, Kolo Toure, was the team’s captain. Toure’s team fought hard for a goal and looked especially threatening during the final minutes, but it was not to be. The last play of the game was a short corner taken by Yaya Toure, as the match ended 0-0. Their next opponent is North Korea on June 21st. They face Brazil on June 25th in their “group of death.”
